GERMAN COCKROACH (BLATTA GERMANICA)
2 dark stripes on the thorax. 12-15mm in length (much smaller than oriental). Mainly found indoors. Love wet humid conditions. Thrive in kitchens and bathrooms. Carries the ootheca (nymph sac) until hatched. The ootheca has 30-40 eggs/nymphs inside ready for hatching, 8mm long.

ORIENTAL COCKROACH (BLATTA ORIENTALIS)
All over dark brown/black appearance. 20-30mm in length. Can live outdoors in cooler conditions, but also indoors. Love drains, loading bays and kitchens. Feed on waste and decay, bin areas and waste disposals. Leaves the ootheca in a safe place to hatch. Approx 16 eggs/nymphs inside the ootheca case.
