The myth goes that conkers contain a natural substance called saponin that repels spiders, and some websites even claim that leaving conkers around your home can kill spiders within a day. Check outside– remove anything spiders might shelter under like piles or wood or clutter in your garden. Don’t make it easy for spiders to get into your home.
