What You'll Be Doing

As part of our specialist Job Works team, you'll be out on the road, working across a range of customer sites and delivering practical solutions that make a real difference.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Bird Proofing: Installing bird deterrent systems, including netting, spikes and other specialist solutions.

  • Pest Proofing: Identifying and sealing potential pest entry points to protect buildings and premises.

  • Specialist Cleaning: Carrying out environmental and specialist cleaning services.

  • Gutter & Gully Cleaning: Helping maintain safe, clean and functional building environments.

  • Teamwork: Working alongside our experienced technicians to deliver high-quality work safely and efficiently.

  • Learning & Development: Taking part in training to build your skills, develop your knowledge and progress within the business.

This is a field-based role with a company van provided, offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to work across different environments and locations.

Some projects will require working away from home, overnight stays, night shifts or weekend work, so flexibility is important.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing a job properly and can confidently tackle new challenges.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • A minimum of one year's practical bird proofing experience, particularly installing bird netting.

  • Alternatively, relevant hands-on experience within the building or construction trades.

  • A good understanding of building structures and the ability to identify areas requiring bird or pest proofing.

  • A practical, problem-solving approach and great attention to detail.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.

  • Good communication skills and the confidence to deal professionally with customers.

  • A flexible attitude towards overtime, weekend work, night shifts and working away from home.

  • A full, clean and valid UK driving licence.

Required certifications:

  • CSCS Card

  • IPAF

Desirable certifications:

  • PASMA

  • BPCA Level 2
