Business Development Manager

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE
Responsibilities:
To identify and sell new business through new and existing customers, to ensure growth in portfolio revenue and profitability and to achieve agreed sales targets laid down by the Company.
Duties:
To carry out thorough surveys of new and existing customer premises to identify the Pest Control requirements to best fit customer needs. To prepare and submit detailed quotations to the customer and convert these into profitable business for the company, ensuring that all prices quoted are in accordance with the Contego pricing policy.
To carry out surveys for local and corporate clients as requested and directed by Contego management.
To build and manage customer relationships to ensure that the customer is continuously informed from initial site visit to completion of the job or contract.
To answer all general customer and financial account queries as directed by Contego management.
To be responsible for the continuous development of sales opportunities both with new prospects and existing customers.
To carry out daily new client prospecting to build and maintain a prospect database.
To ensure that all documents, including but not limited to survey reports and quotations, are prepared accurately and distributed in accordance with company requirements and timescales.
To ensure that the operations staff are fully aware of the scope of services and products sold. To ensure that Health and Safety assessments have been made and that all necessary returns are completed accurately and promptly.
To continually review your own sales performance and manage your personal development to ensure that you are constantly updating your knowledge and keep informed of new technical developments, customer and competitor activities.
To attend meetings and training courses as required, that may necessitate an overnight stay.
