Contego Pledge

INTRODUCING CONTEGO PLEDGE OUR COMMITMENT TO GIVING BACK

In this video, Contego’s CEO Michael Taylor takes us through the Contego Pledge. A charity fundraising mechanism dedicated to match funding the efforts of Contego’s team members. A tool used to inspire and empower the amazing employees of Contego, this funding promise has already helped with fundraising efforts for food banks, children’s hospitals, and cancer research. With so many employees continuing to engage with the Contego Pledge, the sky is the limit.

SHANE MCKENNA

Shane’s story about his step daughters fight to walk encompasses everything the Pledge was set up to support. Shane, Contego’s Technical and Training Manager, takes us through his fundraising efforts, and how the pledge has helped support him. A key part of the Contego team, we are hugely proud of everything Shane has achieved, and are really looking forward to helping him move forward with his fundraising goals.

KIRSTY TAYLOR

Kirsty has been fundraising for Cancer Research UK since 2012, and in 2018 started a more focused role with the charity. Kirsty, Contego’s Business Development Manager, takes us through her fundraising and charity work, and how the pledge has helped support her. A key part of the Contego family, we are hugely proud of everything Kirsty has achieved, and are really looking forward to helping her move forward in her role as a Cancer Research ambassador.

KIRSTY TAYLOR – GREAT NORTH RUN

Kirsty smashed her PB time of 2:11:00 and completed the Great North Run in a very impressive time of 1:58:28, all whilst raising money for Cancer Research UK.

Kirsty has been a campaign ambassador since 2018 but has been involved with the charity since 2012 after a Cancer diagnosis in the family.

As part of the Contego Pledge, we will be match funding every penny Kirsty has raised for Cancer Research to get her to her target.

CHRIS, KRISTIAN AND CHRIS L

Our team at Contego is always going above and beyond. In winter 2020, three of our team (also all members of the Spennymoor Voltigeur Football Club) wanted to give back to their local community. Over a number of months, they provided successive donations to a local food bank. This was their final drop of 2020, and with it, they were able to feed local families in need. Contego Pledge supported the effort, match funding everything raised. We continue to empower our team to support good causes, charities, and those in need. Either providing matched funding or giving the necessary time to carry out fundraising or volunteering activities.
